Our knights help the local Fresno community and parish through fundraising and volunteering. Our council gave over $3500 in 2021 to local charities in the Fresno Area, and the national organization gave over 47.3 million hours of volunteer efforts and $150 million in donations.
The Knights of Columbus was founded on February 6, 1882 by Fr. Michael J. McGivney in New Haven, Conn., uniting Catholic men and helping families of deceased members.
Our council was founded on November 24, 1986 in Fresno, CA. Several of the charter members are still active today in the council.
We are men who lead, serve, protect and defend our Catholic faith, whether providing Coats for Kids, lending a hand in disaster relief efforts, supporting local pregnancy centers, or providing financial products to protect our member family’s futures.
To empower Catholic men to live their faith at home, in their parish, at work and in their community.
